Western Solar’s solar powered ventilation systems are available in a range of capacities to suit domestic and commercial applications from patios, through to houses and even large factories. Any enclosed area can be cooled and ventilated with free solar energy.

An important feature of our domestic vents, that many other vents do not include, is that they are thermostatically controlled. The domestic models, SV 10 and SV12, will automatically switch off when the temperature drops below a set temperature. This allows the warm air to remain inside to roof space to continue warming unlike many wind-driven air vents which continue to extract the warm air even on the coldest of days. Such wind-driven vents are generally at a standstill during the hot days when no breeze is blowing.

Wind-driven vents generally rotate on metal bearings which can be quite noisy. Western Solar’s ventilators run on ball bearings so it is much quieter while they are operating.
